My cousin, Marlo, squeaked in a visit during her travels. I was so happy to see her. Conversation lifted me. We prayed together, broke bread, and encouraged one another.
We also talked, cleared the air, made sure there wasn't unspoken hurts or misunderstandings. It was civil, compassionate, empathetic. That's my ideal of love. Enduring. I am grateful.
